True Bedouins from Wadi Rum
My name is Sabbah Faraj Al Zalabieh I was born and raised in Wadi Rum Desert and I belong to the Al Zalabieh tribe who lives in the village of RUM in the protected area.
Long before, my father and my grandfather perpetuated the traditions and passed on their knowledge to me and my brothers. We are at the origin of the shepherds and we like to walk the desert with our goats our sheep and camels.
Even if in parallel with this ancestral activity, we saw the birth of a new tourist guide profession that has allowed us to open up more to the outside and modern world.
However we remain Bedouins & proud to be!
At 25 years old I already have about ten years of experience in tourism, I started to be a guide from my adolescence, I learned to speak English by working with tourists.
Then I wanted to invest in my own vehicle to accompany small groups up to 6 people, for a few hours, a day or even several days.
I am proud and happy to make you discover the diversity of our beautiful desert and share our traditions either in the comfort of our Bedouin camps or through a bivouac experience, where you can see the stars of the sky shine around a fire and an authentic Bedouin meal.
